I had suspected for some hand mixers' and I was waiting for my old, cheap, blender aloud to die before my wife that I had managed to convince a new (she insisted on the color pink!). I was planning to buy a kitchen aid because of its reputation, but I saw this product reviewed on Cook's Illustrated and was rated higher, but much less than the Kitchen-Aid. I used my Kitchen-Aid stand mixer for almost everything, but now I have this wonderful product, I certainly get the cheapest often that my hand mixer for this!
